Drawing of the Day: Made with pen and pencil and a touch of water colour. I was originally going to try and use blood on this, but ultimately I decided not to because 1) I didn’t want to mess up the sketch and 2) I could only find a dull razor and I wasn’t feeling nearly that hardcore at the time.
We walked everywhere, nowhere, sometimes aimlessly, that summer. Each day was filled with these simple little moments of the Lovely Mundane.
Sparklers in the night, early walks in the morning, cheap coffee, swirls of smoke, bowls of cereal, drawing tattoos, sunrises on the city sidewalk, talking to strangers, pens on paper, improv poetry readings, last minute train rides and a pocket full of ticket stubs.
This is a picture of me from one of those summer nights.
